The Booboo In Your Heart

In a fun and rhythmic sequence, we follow a little girl named Sisi and her family as they each experience situations that depict one of four difficult primary emotions. They learn that processing their feelings through communication is the way to overcome life’s emotional hurdles. Each character has a supportive person play an important role in helping them through the communication process. The practice of talk therapy is presented as a tool to further investigate deeper emotional wounds. The therapy process is demystified by allowing the reader to see behind the curtain, furthermore the role of therapists is illustrated through parallels drawn between physical and emotional injuries i.e. booboos. As Sisi understands the importance of communicating one’s emotions, she takes on a supportive position and embodies the role of therapist compelling the reader to seek emotional support and offer it as well.
